General Video Content

Detail iOS or iPadOS is the fastest and easiest way to record videos using the front and back camera at the same time. Here is a quick step-by-step guide on how to do that.

Step 1. Start a new project

  1. Open the Detail app on your iPhone or iPad

  2. From the Library, tap the + button at the bottom

Step 2. Choose a dual-camera layout

  1. Tap Layout to open the Layouts menu

  2. Either choose the PiP (small video over large video), or one of the Grid layouts

  3. You'll now see the front and rear camera activated

Step 3. Record

Tap the pink record button to start recording – the app will capture both feeds at the same time.

Tips

  • The layouts can be changed after recording – tap Layout and play around

  • Try playing with the Presets (Double options) to see pre-styled layouts for two camera angles

  • You can pinch to zoom in and out of either video

  • You can use two fingers to hold and move the video left to right
