Create polished videos and short clips in seconds — no editing skills needed.
With Auto Edit in Detail iOS / iPadOS you can instantly transform any raw video into a ready-to-share, high-quality edit. (Available in Detail 5 onwards)
Step 1: Record or upload your video
You can either:
Record directly in Detail iOS / iPadOS
Or upload any talking video (1 minute or longer), horizontal or vertical – you can upload more than one video at a time.
Hot tip: use the AI script writer and teleprompter to polish a script and read it to camera.
Step 2: Tap Auto Edit
Once your video is loaded:
In the bottom menu, tap Auto Edit
You can toggle on / off the enhances you want like Silence Removal, Zoom Cuts, Background Music, Titles and Captions.
You can also choose your preferred language
Tap Continue and Detail will analyze your footage and transcript and start editing right away
Step 3: Let Auto Edit do its magic
In seconds, Auto Edit will:
Remove unwanted silences
Add zoom cuts, titles, captions, and background music – depending on what you toggled on / off.
Create one minimal long-form edit
Generate multiple short social clips with titles and descriptions
Provide an engagement score for each edit, based on how relevant each version is for your audience.
All of these versions, as well as your original default recording, are available to you in the Edits menu (🗂️) in the top left corner
Step 4: Review and fine-tune
Want to make a few changes or customize? No problem.
You can:
Adjust background music volume
Apply a filter
Add or change titles
Drop in B-roll clips
Use any editing feature available to you in the Detail app
Even with manual tweaks, Auto Edit has already saved you tons of time.
Step 5: Export and repurpose
When you're happy with your edit:
Tap the Export button (top right)
Download your long-form video and short clips
Tap Media to download the full transcript to turn into blog posts or articles
Tap Content to use the built-in copywriting suggestions for social captions, titles, and even more video ideas.
That’s it!
In just a few taps, you’ve gone from raw footage to a full set of polished content — ready to post across all your platforms.
